Many people living full or part-time in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, drive across the border several times per year.

In this segment, Robina and Carlos share thoughts and experiences about their trips to Texas and back. They suggest using common sense when on-the-road, travel only during the day, keep maps handy, and enjoy the ride.

The US State Department's warnings about travel in Mexican border towns such as Juarez, Tiajuna and Matamoras should be taken seriously and it is recommended you drive through these border towns early in the morning and get through as quickly as possible.

The US Mexican border runs almost 2,000 miles and it the most frequently crossed international border in the world, with about 250 million people making their way across every year. Most do not have any issues.
