My first Avatar the Last Airbender Vid. It's just a slideshow since I'm not using my own computer at the moment but I worked really hard on it.

Story:

After being in suspended animation for 100 years, Aang, the Avatar, awakens to find the world very different from the one he knew. His people, the peaceful Air Nomads, were wiped out in a genocidal attack by the Fire Nation that opened the war that continues to be waged 100 years later.

Aang learns that he is the last remaining Air Nomad and blames himself for the destruction of his people. If he had only remained, even after the other monks had decided to send him away for more extensive training instead of running away, he believes things may have turned out differently because he is the Avatar.

As it is he feels he has lost everything and everyone he ever loved and he feels this loss keenly throughout most of the first season and continues harbor it and the resulting guilt in his hear throughout the series until he is urged to release his grief and guilt by Guru Patik in as a part of mastering the Avatar State. As a result of this he resolves that even though he could do nothing to help his own people he will do everything in his power to restore balance to the world and end the war.

  • this is really awesome!!!! you did really well, i've seen a lot of avatar amvs that were clips, which weren't as deep and emotionally invocative as this. Fantastic, I'm giving you a 5/5 and i'm subbing...I WANNA SEE MORE :D lol...plus sweet song choice!

  • Very well-done. :)

  • I'm longwinded, so I'll tell you in short that everything was just about perfect with this video. the slides, the timing of when you had certain slides during certain lyrics, the depth of emotion on every single facial expression you captured...epic.

  • The music fits very well. Nice little slideshow.
