Why on earth would you feed a dog something that isn't fit for human consumption? I would feed my dog anything that wasn't fit for me to eat myself.

@MsLabMom I would be perfectly fine eating this myself. But it was purchased for the purpose of dog food, so that is how we prepared it. There was nothing wrong with the meat that would cause it to be harmful if eaten.

If you could pinpoint the toxins that are causing Gio's epilepsy, he wouldn't have to take more toxins (epilepsy med) to get rid of it. Is Gio ingesting any dairy or soy products, any acetic acid poison from any condiments with apple cider ciders or vinegars or could any of that liver organ meat be highly tainted with heavy metals from heavy hormone and antibiotic ingestion?

Toxins are not the only things that cause seizure activity. Gio's epilepsy is most likely hereditary, not induced, and while there is surely a trigger, I have spent years trying to narrow it down to the exact cause. It seems to be more related to weather and environmental conditions (barometric pressure) than nutritional factors.

Thanks so much for the info. May I ask what you rotate with? I had a dog with Sarcoptic mange that I fed fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds for 5 months because traditional treatment wasn't getting rid of it. I introduced her to raw meat after she got well and she eats a lot less fruit now. I hate that. She was so beautiful and limber on all f. v. n. and s. Thanks.

My guys eat a Prey Model Raw (PMR) diet. Roughly 80% meaty meat, 10% edible bone, 5% liver, and 5% other secreting organ. Gio (the big guy) just got over a serious bout of pancreatitis brought on by his epilepsy medication so is on a modified diet including ~40% raw pulped/juiced veggies and 60% normal PMR. The different meat types they normally get include beef, pork, chicken, turkey, sheep, venison, elk, rabbit, and various fish.
