Nice project man. Good to see more and more designers paying more attention to sustainability. Well done.

I just don't understand why plastic is a need instead of a want. If you really looking for a green way to change things, why carry things that can easily be thrown away. Why not simply make the bag it self have a small canvas bag to carry veggies and such.

@couchstyleowns : Hey Couch, Good question. The idea was to have an expandable system.
The bag itself is something that you could carry vegetables in. But from user reseach if people carry a back pack with them all the time, they normally keep it pretty full. So when the get to the cash register they have to get another plastic bag, then they carry their food home in that new bag and then forget the plastic bag at home and have to get a new one next time they go shop

@couchstyleowns Cont: The insight was that if you use the plastic bags as padding for your back pack, the user is motivated by comfort to carry the extra bags so they don't keep getting new ones.
That being said this bag was more of a concept piece and has not been produced.
Thanks for your thoughts!
