Our church sends a medical mission from our home in Las Vegas Nevada to El Salvador every year. This video captures the essence of the local culture and how we tried to give them a helping hand.
Each day, the team traveled into a different area of the rainforest where multiple communities would be gathered to meet the team. It is a big event for the communities, they dress up in their best clothes and bring the whole family.
In total, we served 62 communities where 725 people were able to see a doctor, 170 received eyeglasses and over 400 children participated in a day camp while they and their parents waited for medical care. We also took, printed and distributed over 1000 photographs of the children.
