This is a 1950 Chris-Craft Runabout that came in for us to do a restoration on.The wood was in good shape but the motor needed a total rebuild and the hull needed a full strip and refinish. We put 20 coats of varnish on it and added some custom touches. Jireh Customs can be reached at 256-686-2323

  • There was not enough varnish on the wood to worry about using stripper. it was only a few coats and did not seem to have been properly applied to begin with. Since we were going to have to sand it anyway, we just sanded it off.

  • Good looking finish, boat is like born again!

  • Why not chemical strip before sanding? Seems like it would save more wood....just asking.

  • What song is this?
