there's something wierd going on heer in my point on view. I love the xc livery but hate the sound, where i hate the midland mainline livery but i love the sound. strange!

Whats going on with this XC HSTs and no buffet car? FGW were pulling this stunt till people complained, then they put them back again. They said that they were able to generate more torque and provide a faster service without them. If they want to provide a faster service, tell the drivers to go straight to notch 5 and shut off when required.

completely agreed also! I used to travel on XC when Virgin first took over and the HSTs were great - it was really disappointing when the Voyagers came in.

104 was last seen in derby with 119 and a 1 Mk1 between them take a look at my video
now here's a stupid question: Can they have say and MTU powered engine at the front and a Valetta (spelling?) pushing at the rear, or do they have to be the same engines? Is there a (comms) link somehow between the engines to control the pull and push etc.?

During the re-engining process it was quite common for a train to have 1 valenta and one MTU.

I think the longer distance XC services should all be HSTs.

Agreed - IMO Voyagers are only suitable for routes like Norwich to Liverpool or Cardiff to Portsmouth Harbour.

Right after considering the times I don't think you're going to be able to catch one stopping at Tiverton Parkway and Bristol Parkway on a Saturday. There isn't an HST in your direction on Sunday.
