in a firefighter and the guy on the hydrant did it right he made sure its working and nothing like rust or dirt can get to the truck to jam or block the pump.
and wait for the order to charge the line.

@vamp4lfe You must know then that you have to wait for the Chauffeur to either clamp the supply line or be ready to recieve water before he can charge the line....

@GoLAcityFD it doesnt matter anymore if he took forever at this point. other engines were already hooked up to a hydrant with firefighters controlling the blaze too so why be in such a hurry. the fire was under control. maybe this firefighter just came out of the burning building and they told him to wrap the hydrant so that is what he did.

@vamp4lfe Dude nobody cares if u grew up in monte or what. its ok. the fire was already taken care of by other firefighters. maybe he just came out of it. other engines are already hooked up to a hydrant so why be in a hurry. there is no other danger out so why do things fast. there are enough units out there to handle the situation.

no offense to montebello or LACFR. i grew up in monte. but i dont know why it took so long to run the line, clear and charge the line. dont worry the cap! grab the pick clear the line, charge and get to work. im a vollie here in MD, but like i said i grew up in montebello, and thats kind of embracing

I remember that day.. my boyfriend works at superior he said he heard that the owners of the 98 cents store.. set fire for an insurance scam.. supposedly they put foil in the microwave an thats what stared the fire! idk.. somthing smells fishy!! lol
