  • I read the witches when i was 8, then i saw the movie- they were both fantastic!

  • There's no point ranking them, I've read everything the man wrote and it's all bombproof. My personal favorite story (for adults) is Pig, which is definitely the darkest one of the lot.

  • I prefer the darker short stories from Roald Dahl. Go read 'Tales of the Unexpected'. Also, as a child I loved Edgar Allan Poe's short stories.

  • The first story I ever read by Ronald Dahl was Charlie & The Chacolate Factorie,followed by Matillda,ect..I remember that day..a pleasent winter day in school..back in 3rd grade..

  • 1. Matilda (Simply the best story ever written)

    2. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (Great story, with a great lesson)

    3. Boy (Amazing colourful childhood story, loved it)

    4. Going Solo (My favourite but not his best)

    5. The Witches (The imagination is incredible and beautiful)
