It was because they are approaching a bridge. SSL crews are the best I have ever railfanned, bar none! If the see someone taking pixs etc. They toot toot!

Glad you enjoyed the video. YouTube doesn't do justice to the original as they are shot in 16:9. But I post them anyway as many folks enjoy them none the less. I am from Midlothian Il and when I go home to see my folks, I head over to the SSL, my FAVORITE RR! I live in Lake Stevens,WA, that's why you'll see BNSF video along with the SSL. I have a DVD out called "The South Shore in The 1970's" You can find it on ebay and it's an actual sound color program.
