Una voce stupenda! molto più bella di altri tenori del suo tempo come Domingo, Carreras, Kraus.
Questo ha provocato l'invidia dei colleghi che gli han reso la vita difficile....

So like Corelli he had nerves. I never had the pleasure to hear him in the house but I Imagine his voice was lyric more in the direction of Kraus then Leech whom I did hear in the house. On you tube is a Rigoletto with Mines and Aragall that's very fine besides this excellent rendition of the aria.

The best Cavaradossi I ever heard. And I heard Pavarotti and Corelli live in that role among many others.
Aragall I understand had nerves. And of course he also had bad performances where he sang flat. But on a good night - what a singer!

Try Richard Leech Faust, especially live in OH, USA in the late 1980's. I never heard such angelic brilliance with power as well.
