In this video, you will see an brand new Rheem furnace installation gone wrong. Some other company just installed this unit, and they removed the floor from the furnace. This was causing a lack of static pressure in the air ducts, causing evaporator to freeze, and potentially could allow carbon monoxide to recirculate into the air supply when the heat runs. The customer opted to have the installing company come back out to make it right, to avoid what I would have charged him to correct all of the issues with this job. Another fine example, why you should only trust BBB Accredited Businesses, such as NLB Heating & Cooling. "We do the job right, the first time."

  • You got any follow up on this Nick. I am interested to see the outcome.

  • @78921456 There will be no follow-up video to this one. The customer was going to have me correct all of the issues with this new install. After I gave him a price on what I would charge to make all the repairs, he decided to let the guy who installed it back into his house to make it right. Apparently, the owner of the installing company was not aware that the wrong furnace was delivered and installed for this job, not to mention that it was a terrible install. He promised they would fix it.

  • Hey Nick !!!

I will email you install guide info and specs if you want it Brother !!!

    2 more words : LAW SUIT !!!

  • @fritzhvac I don't know who actually did this fine textbook install. The customer told me that it went out in the middle of a deep freeze last winter. Supposedly the draft inducer went out on his 7-YEAR OLD FURNACE and this guy talked him into replacing the whole furnace. I informed the customer that he still had another 13-years of heat exchanger warranty left on the furnace the guy just burned him out of. I hate seeing people get worked-over like this!!!

  • @NLBheating Hey Nick !!!

Well he is in Good Hands Now !!!

Nick to a lot of Fellers its the Almighty Dollar, not taking care of the Customer !!!

We will band-aid till the band-aids don't stick(safety being the factor),then its time for upgrade !!!

  • @TandNServices Yeah, no kidding. But it's not my problem anymore. The homeowner called the "hacker" company back to make things right. I just hope they did the right thing for him.

  • Nice work. I would love to find good tec's like you to work for me. attention to detail is spot on and shows your aptitude and attitude. Keep up the good work. Truly an asset to the HVAC community that wishes to help customers.

  • ive worked the trade in 4 states

i see this crap done everywhere, lol

they make messes faster than you repair them it seems

no woner our industry is in trouble

  • Wow and wow!!! I can't believe this stuff and why a customer would've signed off on this new install after seeing this, you know it isn't done right just looking at it and an evaporator that's freezing up on a brand new improperly installed system??? Clue here. No way that company would've "ever" have made it back in my front door EVER....not even to make something right that should have never been done this way to begin with.

  • What a mess. Good job getting things going in the right direction.
