I meant to say that you have to complete one line of stitching before folding the material and running the other line of stitching. You also have to finish the stich line by either pulling one line back through the second to last hole and tying a knot, or by back stitching three or four stitches. Back stitching makes for a neat job.

Stitching in paper towels is very hard to do, so find some scrap material to practice on if you want practice. For all but the heaviest fabrics, I would actually not use this method. This method is mostly for heavy materials like canvas and leather.

  • When I am stiching with the speedy sticher the thred keeps pulling out after I put it threw the loop!!! I need to follow your video but with the need I have it is jsut a hole.

  • I noticed some difficulty in pushing the needle thru - was that a fresh needle or had you been using it for a while. Or was it the material you were using?
