The Street Series 1 Episode 2 - Stan

This is an extract from 'The Street' filmed in and around Manchester and Salford; written by Jimmy McGovern (from Liverpool). The series won both the 2007 BAFTA and RTS awards for Best Drama Series. This episode focuses on the antics of Stan McDermott played by Jim Broadbent, who lives for his job as a warehouse foreman and then feels surplus to requirements following his retirement. Following series of poignant moments and bungled suicide attempts Jim feels compelled to deliver this cruel yet hilarious rant at some rival Man Utd fans (personally I would have chosen smug PNE fans!)
