@LeathaFace17 You missed the point of the lecture. He's not comparing the brain to an operating system, he's comparing culture to an operating system, and through that, the brain to a computer; which is exactly what it is--albeit a very complex one. Culture is an operating system. We made it all up. It is a man-made system, a language, a structured set of social rules through which we are able to interact.
Stop taking things so literally and look at what they represent.
