Didn't hear any "trainwreck", just a great solo across the barlines.

@Sonusproject: You are respectfully excused! :) "I am still learning"- Michelangelo's motto

Excuse my ignorance. It is indeed quite beautiful, can't agree in any sense with my own comment at this point too..
Really intense piece of music. You should be proud for sharing this... how a day makes a difference, I apologise.

@Sonusproject: This is a digital transfer directly from the cassette master. No, I don't feel ashamed for uploading this but actually quite proud because it is EXTREMELY rare. This is what many pre-digital vintage recordings sound like, and is not any kind of 'compression'. Anyone who is a real Tony fan LOVES this because until now this recording was unheard, and documents a brief period unknown to most fans. The last recording Hendrix made, jamming in London with War, sounds similar to this.

Love Tony as a drummer...but this is rough, and not very special....is that Tony singing? If it is...Well he needn't!!!! LOL Just like Herbie Hancock...stick to playing your instruments!

@lionlr1: Mike Formanek on bass? 101% positive. I have corresponded with him via email regarding this gig.
Check out his bio, which mentions Tony Williams, at gerryhemingway(dot)com/formane

@DinoJCione: On the heels of the Holdsworth-era Lifetime, this was a bit of a left turn for Tony, who seemed intent on not cloning previous Lifetime incarnations. The band that followed this, with Bunny Brunel on bass and Tom Grant on keyboards, was even more of a departure, largely forsaking a chops-blowing 'fusion' approach, and opting for a more cerebral, groove-laden take on things. But, no matter the band, Tony was always a surreal & superhuman force of nature to behold.
