And final part?

@richardburchett I think different types of strings makes an impact on what your bass will sound like, as well as playing with your fingers or a pick. Personally I use flats on my bass and pick away as many great bassists did back in the day because you can create a wide array of tones. But it's all how YOU want to play.

@ejdbk I think he's talking about the bass ticking and tocking. Which is muting the D and G string and picking each consecutively.

this sounds cool, but it isn't at all how Waters plays it.

Bro, you wouldn't call me an idiot. if you saw me. TRUST ME! watch a gentleman by the name of James Jamerson (like they all did i'm sure) and learn something.. Your punk ass just don't wanna get a callus on any of your fag fingers! Be a man!

@fishfan67 it's not the same if you use pick or not you idiot. and it really doesn't look like amature playing bass. roger is not the only who plays with the pick. he usually does it but also plays with fingers. so if you think that roger glover, glen hughes (deep purple), greg lake (king crimson, ELP), john entwistle (The Who), JOhn Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin), John Deacon (Queen), Roger Waters (Pink Floyd), Chris Squire (Yes) etc. are amateures, than you have a problem.

@Andrewoid95 How about Justin Chancelor of Tool?! also a pick player, and one of the best in my opinion, and Roger waters itself played everything with a pick aswell, exept the studio versions, which played by finger.
how about the clock part at the beggining?
