The 75th Running of the Montpelier Hunt Races

Here is a spot I did for the Montpelier Hunt Races. Since it was the 75th anniversary of the event. We decided to do something that honored the history of the races.

In this commercial are a lot of significant memoribilia connected to the races, as well as some truly historic clips. Only true horse race enthusiasts may catch them all.

Originally, I was going to use actual footage of the items and composite the videos and pictures in, but instead, I went with using some of the many hi-res photographs taken for better creative control. Some were even used for the final brochure.

The script, steeplechase footage, and other clips were provided by Martha Strawther, Executive Director of Montpelier Steeplechase and Equestrian Foundation.

The music is royalty-free.

Not sure why it didn't take the VAB Awards for BEST COMMERCIAL. I wasn't too impressed with the winner, but of course, I'm biased about it. LOL.
