We were given some rats with a pet snake. We didn't know the female was pregnant until she started giving birth last night. After watching her give birth to these little ones, they're going to be pets and not feeders.

  • Why is it mean to feed the rats to snakes? Snakes have to eat too. As long as you put the rats/mice to sleep first it should be no issue. Just like us eating a hamburg.

  • Thank you for not feeding the babies but are you going to feed the momma?

  • its mean to have rats or mice as snake food

  • I purchased 2 rats the 6th of August, both around the same age/size, and its been about 20 days since i got them. one of them however has gotten extremley big in the tummy and her nipples are swollen and her tail is swollen, she is starting to shove all of her bedding to one corner of the cage. Is she pregnant or not, im not sure. If she really is, does anyone have any advise for me?
