  • shittiest. Units. Ever. I almost go deaf everytime i run in one.

  • @TheDolan798 Lol they seem rough. How where the SD60F's?

  • @SkyhawkACE123 about the same lol, I work for CN and the loudest units ive ever been in are 5400s, 5500s, and 2400s, they work okay but you for sure want them at trailing units lol

  • @TheDolan798 Do you still work for CN?

  • Great catch & neat sound! You won't see these anymore sadly

  • @metraF40PH163 Thanks Evan!! Sadly these are all gone.

  • @TheDolan798 you could go to GMDD and tell them to replace the cabs with those that are found in the SD70M-2... they're quiet

  • Why did CN get rid of those locomotives?

  • I didn't say they were not the same companies. I was pointing out that calling a CNR 5400 an EMD SD50F is incorrect as that locomotive has never existed. The GMD SD50F was designed & produced in London, Ontario at what was known as GMD & has produced thousands of locomotives for Canadian & foreign roads including US. Until LaGrange closed shop & production moved to London, Ontario the production from each plant was designated GMD (London) & EMD (LaGrange).

Hope this helps you out foamer.

  • @railvidoer GMD, EMD are the same companies.
