  • I feel so foolish (stupid) to have studied Karate and Taekwondo until I was 27...my body was destroyed

7 years of Tai Chi, QiGong and BaguaZhang repaired my lifelong damage

  • We are sorry to hear about your problem. Many people have studied karate or TKD for their whole lives without ill effect. Sometimes it has to do with your body type, other times with incomplete instruction. Although we must say that we have seen more elderly people who continually study the soft arts than the hard arts.

  • eh? Why is the chen form played in fast forward?

  • It's not. That's the way he did it. We didn't have the technology to speed video up back then.

  • Because, it is good for your health. Throwing the chi out drains you and is bad for your health.

  • In response to what Bruce said about Tai Chi keeping energy inside, as opposed to karate throwing it out, why is it better to keep the energy inside. After all hitting something is on the outside.

  • Great to hear someone who has spent 10 years in China learning martial arts
