Juan Pablo Montoya got the 2007 Nextel Open
off to a messy start,causing a
multi-car pileup off of turn 2.
Montoya started 5th and took
Dave Blaney's spot on the start
on a three-wide move.
The #42 had too much momentum
and drifted up the race track.
A multi-car pileup ensued.
"I had a really good start under Blaney.
As soon as a I went to pick up the gas,
it spun out," Montoya said.
The crash took out David Gilliland, Joe Nemechek, Paul Menard, Jon Wood, A.J. Allemendinger and Scott Riggs.

montoya did that when he was in formula 1 bwp, but think aswell he was a rookie in that year though... still rubbish!!!

He underestimated the weight and momentum of the car. He's made a couple of times that mistake. Guess turning round and round isn't as easy as people tend to say...
