Juan Pablo Montoya got the 2007 Nextel Open
off to a messy start,causing a
multi-car pileup off of turn 2.

Montoya started 5th and took
Dave Blaney's spot on the start
on a three-wide move.

The #42 had too much momentum
and drifted up the race track.
A multi-car pileup ensued.

"I had a really good start under Blaney.
As soon as a I went to pick up the gas,
it spun out," Montoya said.

The crash took out David Gilliland, Joe Nemechek, Paul Menard, Jon Wood, A.J. Allemendinger and Scott Riggs.

  • rookie year morons!!! Montoya is the best driver on earth, is a 4 times champion

  • @TagsRover if he thought nascar sucked he wouldnt be racing it

  • yup and he gets pissed when people rough him up after he pulled a few years of this kinda stuff

  • montoya did that when he was in formula 1 bwp, but think aswell he was a rookie in that year though... still rubbish!!!

  • what the fuck was montoya thinkin i havent relly seen this before cause i was there on the front strech u cant dive in to a corner like that at a track like Lowe's

  • He underestimated the weight and momentum of the car. He's made a couple of times that mistake. Guess turning round and round isn't as easy as people tend to say...

  • you suck
