Theirs was a gentle, folk sound, but Chad Stuart and Jeremy Clyde were a big part of the British Invasion that dominated the pop charts in the U.S. during 1964. "A Summer Song", co-written by Chad Stuart with Clive Metcalfe and Keith Noble, was the biggest chart single for this duo peaking at #7 during the late summer of '64.

  • Great Song! I Play It Almost Everyday Of The Summer!! Jeremy's Last Name Was Actually Clyde Instead Of Scott.

  • @centipeeds4always Oops, my fault on the last name...I'll change that. Thanks.

  • How many of you listening (who were around back then) fell in love with that special one with this song?

Hit THUMBS UP if you did. C'mon now. Don't be shy.......

btw- I envy all those that were 17-21 during this time. That era seemed so much better.

  • Lovely, lovely song so evocative of the diversity of the music that was the music of the "Baby Boomers." We certainly were lucky in so many ways. I don't believe our music from decade to decade will ever be topped. Lovely and dear what more can be said? Just beautiful. Thank you for this post.

  • I remember them on the Dick Van Dyke show. Great music. I'll be 62 this year. I get older but the music from the 50s 60s and 70s is still young and new.

  • Chad & Jeremy were from the same mould as Peter and Gordon. Love their soft sounds.

  • 1964. I was 16 just bought one of them new fangled Honda scooters and had these beautiful songs to listen to when I was not riding it.

  • @LOKISlog7 they seemed but they weren't and don't let anyone tell you different...the past is a myth

  • I was in that era, yes, truly fantastic music that will never be topped.

  • Background orchestra is Beautiful! Makes me a little misty

  • I was just thinking of this song for some reason today and I'm glad you posted it. Thanks...brings back memories !

  • @MTLNCK52 AWESOME- THUMBS UP to You....

  • @LOKISlog7 I think I was 11 or 12 at the time.

  • Saw Jeremy Clyde on stage in London this past Christmas! He starred in "Three Days in May," a historical drama concerning Winston Churchill's War Cabinet in May 1940. Clyde seems to have had quite a career as an actor as well as a musician!
