  • All my life I have not liked cover versions most are not as good as the originals (this also applies to films). If you are going to do a cover then do your own thing otherwise why bother. The few covers that I have liked over the years have, without exception, been in the latter category. Listening to the interview she says she wasn't doing an impersonation but they pretty well stuck to the original arrangements. She has quite a pretty voice but she isn't Doris and couldn't have impersonated her

  • Never in a million years can this voice EVER reach Doris Day,just awful!

  • Thank you, Melinda!

  • it is good 3 out 5, but this cannot beat the legendary voice of Doris

  • I also had the pleasure yesterday of seeing Melinda pay homage to Doris Day at Twelfth Night Theatre... and I did not want it to end. I was just so taken with Melinda's voice, I'm so glad she showed her own talent and didn't do an impersonation of Doris. Doris may be so much more than the girl next door but Melinda is so much more than a county artist too. I loved all the songs chosen and the way Doris' life story was told with the male back up artists just perfected the show.

  • I had the great pleasure last night in Brisbane at the Twelth Night Theatre of seeing Melinda Schneider pay tribute to Doris Day. This show was 7 years in the making and what a magical evening it was, well worth the wait and congratulations to Melinda and her team. The narration between songs of Doris's life from herself and her 2 male backup artists made it more than just a concert. The many highlights from the show included the audience singing along to ''The Black Hills Of Dakota''.

  • She has a good voice, I like the smoothness of her voice. That being said, I think that she should do more breathiness - Doris has such a breathy voice, especially around the edges, which makes it even more smooth. But all in all, she has a great voice! And she is very pretty. ^_^
