hey joe,
that sound is just a Gretsch snare that I keep to my left, and it's tunes tight as hell. From 2:30 - 2:55 I'm playing on that drum, but it's snares are dropped in this particular clip to more accurately represent the sound of a brazilian "repenique" drum
