Train crash test

Rigid frame vagon crash test. Those where used before government (or whatever association that was) changed them into ones that have some sort of "air bag" in front and back of vagon (you can call it compensatory addons or smth like that). Sure you can say that in video the front of vagon crumbles after impact, but it does that not in a "safe" way.

How often do you mean by "all the time?" Why do you infer that I said train crash tests weren't necessary, or that trains aren't prone to disaster as well as cars?

They built in crumple zones, not "airbags". These work the same way buffers work at train stations absorbing some of the impact force and keeping the cars aligned so they don't jackknife or buckle as the technical term is.

Hitting another train essentially has the same effect and a train line almost always ends somewhere with a dead stop like that. Looping the track would ofc ensure you don't hit a concrete wall but you would still feel it if you crashed into a stationary train car!
