i grew up in the 80s and 90s and we did this in grade 1 and 2 i loved it and am happy to find it..never grew to like gym could not do this work out..kinda goofed on the movements but still had fun after grade 3 realy hated gym and still did..should have kept this going in school and let kids be creative with it...great song

I was born in 1967 but I remember this in elementary school 1973-1976. However I think the Robert Preston one runs a little too long to keep the kids' attention.

Barbara Burt reminded me of this. If you went to school in the 60's or 70's you had to hear this song everyday during the winter in the gym during P.E. (when it was too cold to be outside). There was an exercise routine that went to this too. I guess this was an early version of jazzercise. I understand it was Jack Kennedy that had this sent to all schools in 1961, well it still existed in the early 70's and I credit this song for helping me decide to join the Marching Band to avoid P.E.
