at 3.40min : "drôle" in french can mean "strange" too

Une drôle de chose (a strange thing) Un drôle de type (a strage guy)

Dôle = funny, or strange

In question when you doubt about thing :

C'est drôle ce que tu me dit (it's strange that you tell me)

drôle can mean lot of things in french
