I have an old Mossberg 810A ,3006 that UPS broke accross the wrist. it was cracked clear up at the reciol lug also .I used this method after gluing it back together and used a short peice of rod cross ways behind the lug slot in the stock.. the break can be noticed very little in the checkering area, but you almost have to look for it .Have about two boxes of ammo thru it with no signs of stress, It saved an good old rifle that nothing short of having a stock made would have cured. Thanks

I would def NOT use a sharpie to mark my line. you'll have to sand FOREVER to get that out. otherwise, I am totally using this- I have a very limp wrist.

Hahahaha funny guy under me, i would cry if that happened to me

worstthing about snapping the stocks wrist is that you might end up with an illegal lenght rifle

reinforcing the wrist gives you better flapping abilities

Hi Larry,
What diameter hole did you drill for the 1/4" threaded bar to sit in?
Another useful video, Thanks!

@lordsummerisle87 if the gun has to be tested an empty shell is placed in the chamber i use winchester hollowpoint ammo and all the strike marks look the same but now that u mention it i was using a very unknown brand so it might have been that but a couple of the winchesters have failed to fire through both this rifle and my other 22 so it could also be a factor of bad ammo
i love how the bolt was trying to rise back up
larry was all "bitch get in the hole!"

So this way, when you fall on it, the rifle will break you instead.
