Since 2008, USAID's Flood Recovery Program has rehabilitated and developed 119 productive small-scale infrastructures -- roads, shallow tube wells, market sheds and collection systems, schools, bridges, culverts, health posts, irrigation and drainage systems -- in eight Terai districts of Nepal. These infrastructures were identified as essential to the development of livelihood of the villages that were damaged or destroyed during the 2007 & 2008 floods and have benefitted over 128 thousand households.
This photo album is an excellent communication product that upholds USAID's spirit of transparency and accountability, exhibiting before and after pictures of many key infrastructure projects and shows the coverage area of the project's operation.
