Just bought this film, and watched it. It's really excellent - cleverly filmed and atmospheric. Lovely looking monster. I was taken with its rather unceromnial demise.

Fully recommend it.

Oh, this has been a favourite since the early '90s, but it's an absolute bugger when you're playing charades!

OK, from looking back on this movie, there only one element of it that I do like: the use of stop-motion animation to bring the cleverly-designed creature to life. I also like how it harkens back to the 'Monster on a Rampage' movies of the 50s with it's plot & pacing. But the fact that there's not great acting (with the exception of Michael Moriarty) and the characters acting like they've seen the monster already since the beginning kind of drags it down. It's OK, but it's not really spectacular

Such a waste of talent when they kill off Richard Roundtree. But then again, the brotha/ sista always gets killed in the worst way in a horror film, usually midway through the film.
