My friend Stephen Crafton did an internship at the nearby TV station when he stayed at JCMU. It just so happens that as his final project, they had him interview some of his friends, and I was one.

This interview was done in two parts. First, we did the circular Q and A section, then they came back a second day to fill in some more details.

And now, I can officially say that I have played guitar (and koto) on television, if only for a few seconds. The part I'm playing here is from the tapping solo from Joe Satriani's "Always With Me, Always With You". I actually played most of the song for the camera, but that's the only part they chose to use.

I've translated all of the spoken parts and signs that show up on screen, except for the ones during the interview (which is either exactly what we're saying, or a small paraphrase, and thus is unimportant). There were two small parts where I had some trouble, but my friend BRPXQZME helped me get the jist of them.

Note: One friend has requested that I cover his face with a giant annotation. So I did.

  • @LittleSn00py Yes, unfortunately. It's not a big broadcasting place, so it only broadcasts to Shiga.

  • Is the station which broadcasted this show only viewable in the Shiga prefecture?

  • @lenneth3 Indeed. You got me. ^_~
