  • Anton Yelchin is Russian it's not a Fake Accent his American Accent in Terminator is him Doing an Accent

  • He's Russian as far as him being born in Russia goes, but that doesn't necessarily mean the accent was real. If I'm not mistaken he was raised in the states.

  • @confusedmatthew i remember hearing that Anton is russian but suppressed his real accent to try and impersonate Walter Koenig's chekov accent

no idea how accurate that is

  • @ready7

The new one looks like an apple store I mean =]

  • @ready7

Haha, I was expecting to see necklaces in the consoles.

It also looks a bit like the Apple Store. Discreet advertising maybe?

  • @chromethink

That's because there's pretty much more to complain about than there is to compliment in this movie.

  • @A4F7IPictures

He was born in Russia, but he moved to the States in 1989 with his family, the year he was born.

  • When I think of the TOS engine room, I always thought that the brunt of the machinery was either off screen (in access ducts and such) or was on the other side of that massive window they had in the back. You could see all kinds of piping on the otherside, if I remember it correctly. Functional vs Aesthetic is fine, but you WOULD expect a flagship to be as beautiful as possible on the premise that other people would be looking at it.

  • the engine room in this enterprise did look like a building to me, because it, uh...was.

enterprise managed to make a good engine room, to me.

  • I love both of these reviewers. They have excellent insight into star trek lore and cinematic theory. But...

Screw you guys! I love the Enterprise D ship design!!!

  • @KevServo

It does make more sense to have engineering like that though, why would you waste aesthetics on an engine room? If you go into an engine room of any ship nowadays, it's not gonna look like an immaculate restaurant.

  • It's funny that you guys tried to come up with things you liked about the movie and almost immediately go back to complaining about Chekov's accent for 5 minutes. And yet you still say you liked the movie?
