The lyrics mean whatever you want them to mean. It could be love, it could be war, it could be anything. I wrote them with a specific meaning of course, but that's not really the point. Whatever you hear, see, feel or picture whilst listening, then that's exactly what they mean.
Thanks for the awesome comments guys and gals, and all the views. I can't tell you how much it means to me to have so many of you folks liking this track. It means a LOT :D

I am completely in love with this remix. I literally listen to it at least once a day. I've got something like 30 remixes downloaded, but this one just tops them. Epic isn't even the word. You should be paid top dollar for your work AkumajoBelmont. Props to you.

this made me blew my god damn mind
The original song was just a perfect theme in Megaman 2
But this...
This is just too epic!

This is a excellent and emotional song.
While I have not heard or played too much of Mega man 2 outside of the collection, I have to disagree with @WhiteVandal this seems more like the intro song to a action/drama anime (idk I don't watch too much anime) tv show that shit.

@WhiteVandal Except those are technically remixes also. I don't know why I just thought they were "covers" instead of "remixes." Disregard that last part, I suck cocks. I just mean many OCRemix songs are just the same exact song played with different instruments, and it's cooler when they totally mix things up.

@WhiteVandal Oh bullshit. This isn't being played as the background to a game. There is no scenario that this song needs to set the tone for. You aren't actually playing MM2 right now. Sometimes changing the tempo and tone of a song can do absolute wonders. Just look at what Hans Zimmer did for Inception. That shit was brilliant. Besides, that's the point of remixes. To remix. You can hear plenty of covers (techno, metal, etc.) all over the place. This is far more impressive to me.

This is probably the most original remix of this theme I've ever heard.
Amazing job!

Reminds me of Julien-K... Which is a good thing!

@ocremix You tell 'em, ocremix! While I do not really care for any of the arrangements with singing involved (unless it is in the original song), I will not criticize because everyone has the right to be creative and should not be chastised for doing just that. If you don't like it, you don't have to listen to it or download it.

@ShadowDimentio Now THAT would be an excellent change on YouTube. Unlike all this blasphemous channel changes (2.0 was okay, but 3.0 is sloppier than a blindfolded drunk's cooking), that would improve YouTube's quality by a good margin.

@WhiteVandal This form of comment reminds me of Crash Bandicoot comments on the 2 Mutant titles. That the gameplay was "ravaged" and changed and design aesthetics and personalities "raped". Rarely seen one of these comments translated into video game music. I couldn't agree with ocremix more. Just like games, music doesn't have to have the same feel and remixes, while I'm not always a huge fan of them, can be great if done right. It doesn't have to be close to the original as long as it's good.
This comment has received too many negative votes show
Mega Man 2 is probably still my favorite game of all time. It was the first game I beat by myself and holds a special place for me.
The original song was fast paced and had a sense of urgency. This remix rips its heart out and turns what's left into something depressing. It seems like someone(s) doing something because they can, but without reason, ignoring the spirit of the music and bending the song into something barely recognizable.
Didn't mean for this to sound so critical, but it's true.

@WhiteVandal Couldn't disagree more. That's a closed-minded way to look at music. There's no moral law saying an arrangement needs to retain the same instrumentation or mood of the original piece. We have plenty of OC ReMixes that do that, but it's NOT a requirement. Our primary goal is paying respect to the flexibility & quality of the original compositions through creative interpretation, not copying the same sounds & feel, which you can get from listening to the original itself.
