Messing about with my 28 year old 14 holers, bought in Newcastle Green Market back in 82, my first ever pair of 14 holers. Still going strong.

  • Hey I wanna ask something! I have the Dr. Martens 1940, my size is 45 EU, they fit pretty well. But after a week wearing them, they hurt my both feet, at the back side, exactly above my heels. Now I've got two small wounds! What can i do???

  • @Makedonas2503 just keep wearing them, you have to go through the pain barrier, they will become soft and supple soon!

  • is that levi jeans you got on there 501 red tab?

  • @zjkille89 yep!

  • dont touch foreign doc martins there shit. the makers have a good little thing going. the foreign ones are not genuine leather uppers.only inner uppers are...the inside..the top of the martins tend to split. so do yourself a favour only get the made in england ones.otherwise you will have martin like myself. a bought three pairs all foreign made.didnt think at the time, but within a year all three were splitting on the top.the terrible thing is the made in england ones are £30 more!

  • @theresonly1stig I totally agree with you and I would rather spend the extra £30 and get Uk made ones coz you know they will last so much longer. Also they are probably paying people in Thailand something like £1.50 a day which is totally wrong too!

  • Rick brad, i was hoping maybe you could me out. I live in california, and ive recentley gotten a pair of 14 holers.. Theyre realy great, and i just ordered a pair of 10 hole cherry red.. I have been looking for some getta grip oxbloods, but it appears the company does not sell this particular model anymore. Since you have more knowledge about docs than me, do you know if getta grips are a seasonal style? Or did they just discontine them.

  • those are some badass boots you've got there, man.

  • @Makedonas2503 oh wow. I got those same boots. and I really think how much they hurt isn't supposed to happen. what I did was make little duct tape "pillows" and used velcro to put them in. worked like a charm. but I will definitely be getting the more traditional style from now on lol

  • Are those docs made of quilon leather?

  • Are those docs made of quilon leather?

  • 28 years and still so shiny! Good condition. Mine are about one year old and already look very used. Didn't do anything with them besides normal wearing and one festival. Only thing is that I had to find out the soles aren't heat resistant during a campfire. Looks a bit strange, but at least they now have a story.^^ Mine are made in China by the way. 1919 with steel caps.

  • Damn you tie them fast

  • whrere i can buy , doc martens like that ?

  • wow! you should make a tutorial video on how to tie them! lol awesome, love doc martens

  • wow them boots look good for being that old!
