Outstanding!

Beautifully sung with excellent "diction". Perhaps conditioned by knowing this opera and duet for over 60 years, my heart is easily wrenched by this tender and touching rendition so beautifully done. Ah, the exquiste pain and joy to see such sacrifice done in an emotional minute of wanting to be good and noble.

Bloody hell, he's hot. And she's good, much better than she's given credit for.

As immitation singing goes, this is very good. BTW that handkerchief she's holding and sniffeling into...good idea, otherwise we might not know that Violetta is sad in this moment - or did Fleming just have a cold that evening? Two people desparately trying to wrench an emotional reaction out of us, without giving us anything sincere that might bring about said reaction.I for one don't believe a word these two are saying, although heard abstractly, the individual sounds are actually quite lovely.

@operadoc Some have inerpreted that way. He wants to get rid of her because he secret desires her. She's forbidden fruit.

lol I misread your comment, the first word I read was "Fleming" in the second line and then "died" in the first line so I was like "oh shit!" then, after reading your comment properly I was like "O, thank God!" ^ v ^
I agree though, I don't like her in everything she does, but she sounds wonderful in the right repertoire, such as here where she sounds creamy, rich and opulent.
