with cities expanding, unless you're in an artisan city (like Seatle, San Fran, etc.) it ain't gonna happen.
parents would rather let their kids run free on the internet than drop them off to see a band. there are more issues facing all-ages venes than just the absence of them. while there are all-ages venues in the Houston, Tx area, there is hardly a scene for young people.
if the city officials have their way, we'll be getting rid of 90% of out live music rooms here, like Dallas did.

My guess is that it's mostly related to venues having alcohol in their bars, thus not allowing kids in alltogether.

I voted, here in NYC were i live its possible to find under 21 clubs and shows but most parts of the us its very hard to find these unless you go to big cities.

definitely voting for this :D
I already do this w/out a book, or grant $ from Pepsi... although I could find uses for it I'm sure.

@rockxhero That's great! there's probably a lot of stuff you could teach us too. There's a million different things that go into making all-ages music happen, so we're all better off when we share our collective knowledge. Where are you making music happen? What kind of stuff are you working on? We'd love to hear about it.

is that a problem in the USA?

@inofaith Yes, unfortunately, for a variety of reasons many communities restrict young people's access to live music.
