We use raisins cut in half and small bits of carrot to train our chinchilla, named Chinchybug. He fell half way off my arm, so we gave him an extra raisin to reassure him that he would be alright. We didn't want him to end the evening on a negative experience. Little better lighting in this video.

  • How can you litter box train them? :/ my chin poops a lot!!!!! I didn't know they could. I got him 2 days ago!!!! :/ my dad said but a small bin in there and he will poop In there. pLEASE respond!!!

Ps. Sorry this was kinda groosssss. :] haha

  • @bubblygirllove101 No they can't control where they go. Not to be disrespectful, but your Dad is wrong. They physically can not control where they go. Like mice, rats, deer and horses, it just kind of falls out of them as their body is done processing it. Sorry.

  • what kind of raisins can they eat?

  • @Blissfulwing Organic raisins. And I do read you are not supposed to feed them raisins. But it is the only treat our chinchilla likes. We cut them into 4 or 8 pieces (yes, one raise in 8 pieces) and just give him the tiny little bits. He thinks he is getting more treats, but he doesn't get too much this way. Don't feed more than 1 raisin a day. NEVER EVER feed your chinchilla anything from the brassica family (like broccolli or cauliflower or cucumbers) because the gas will kill them.

  • Training your Chinchilla for the Pokemon league.

  • I have a gray chinchilla named dusty

  • i never knew a chinchilla can be so big!

  • @pixiecarnation My chinchillas cannot control where they poop, that does literally fall out of them, however they pee in their cage and not on the carpet when the cage is open. So it's like they're half trainable.

  • @tinyzoo Falabellas are potty-trained all the time. Rats are known to housebreak themselves. We had a bottle baby deer that was house-trained. Chinchillas are known to urinate in one area, but are not considered potty trainable. Not to be disrespectful, but you should do your own research.

  • Also as for treats Pico gets organic pumpkin seeds :) or Cheerios he loves them both but pumpkin seeds are always his first pick

  • As a chinchilla owner not an animal expert I don't know what exactly a chinchillas body is capable of I do know however that my chin Pico rarely (once or twice per time if at all) poops or pees when I let him out to play. He used to but no longer, I don't know the reason but he's out for about 20 minutes bathing and playing about every other day. I assure you he has healthy bowl movements otherwise, is extremely well fed and the bravest lil guy I've ever seen. Just a different point of view for

  • i noticed my chinchilla ears will start to droop when it is to hot,

  • @bubblygirllove101 they can be trained to pee in the littler box though!

  • habst ihr sie alleine im käfig ?
