Rep. Fred Upton voted for the Continuing Resolution (H.R. 1) which included amendments to block the EPA from implementing long overdue air pollution safeguards to reduce emissions of carbon, mercury, arsenic and other hazardous air pollutants. He also introduced and voted for House-passed legislation (H.R. 910) to prevent the EPA from applying commonsense safeguards to curb harmful carbon pollution and protect public health, even though the companion legislation failed in the U.S. Senate the day before.
