Dow AgroSciences New Zealand have more than 60 staff in New Zealand delivering over 60 leading insecticides, herbicides, fungicides and specialty chemicals to 360 outlets across more than 150 towns all over New Zealand.
While they do all this, there are over 1400 research and development personnel in 40 different countries exploring, identifying and designing crop protecting chemicals. They are a talented group and have won international recognition including Agrow Awards, Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge awards and Stratospheric Ozone protection awards.
On average it takes 1 in 39,000 experiments to succeed and costs up to $255 million to develop per product while leading the world in R&D collaboration projects.
