http://fatnews.com/ Hi, this is Larry Hobbs @ FatNews.com.
larryhobbs@fatnews.com

Beta blockers appear to increase the risk of suicide by 60%.

Beta blockers include drug like atenolol (Tenormin) and propranolol (Inderal).

I believe that potassium bicarbonate is vastly superior to beta blockers and the other blood pressure medicines for improving health.

I've been taking 1000 mg of potassium twice a day (2000 mg per day) in the form of potassium bicarbonate since 2000.

My blood pressure dropped from roughly 140/80 mm Hg to 124/73 mm Hg (taken last night).

WARNING: Only take potassium under a doctor's supervision.
Too much potassium can kill you.

The research suggests to me that potassium bicarbonate is superior to potassium chloride, which is usually the form that is suggested.

Researchers from the University of California, San Francisco, who have been studying potassium bicarbonate for well over 10 years, have found that it reduces muscle loss, reduces bone loss, and increases growth hormone.

They also note the adverse effects of too much chloride.

The paper that convinced me to start taking potassium was a paper which found that roughly 2000 mg of potassium per day, in the form of potassium chloride, reduced blood pressure in a group of elderly people from an average of 160/89 mm Hg to 145/81 mm Hg.

In other words, potassium reduce systolic pressure by 15 point and diastolic pressure by 8 points.

For anyone needing to lower their blood pressure

Why not try potassium (bicarbonate) first?

  • Is all potassium bicarbonate the same. I have a bottle of Garden-Ville Potassium Bicarbonate. It seems to be marketed for plants. Is this safe to consume??

  • @1lastrun I would NOT take potassium bicarbonate made for plants because there is no way to know the purity of it. I would only take potassium bicarbonate that is made for human consumption. There are two grades of this. There is an FCC grade which is food grade. And there is USP grade which is even more pure. I would only take one of these two. I would not take anything else because there might be impurities in it which could cause problems. Better safe than sorry. Larry Hobbs

  • I've just been prescribed with proponolol for my anxiety. Is that the best drug? If not what would you recommend?

  • @hardcorebiker15

I would suggest reading the webpage "Soothing the Anxious Brain" by Joan Mathews Larson, PhD from The Health Recovery Center.

She is the author of "Depression-Free Naturally".

She has been treating people for anxiety, depression and drug and alcohol problems since 1981 with natural solutions.

    See here:

Sorry, but it won't let me post the exact webpage.

If you send me an email, I will send you the exact link.

  • I've been on beta blockers for over 20 years because of and arrhythmia and I've found the drugs to be wonderful.... Yeah they can make you feel down at times and groggy a little but overall there great at controlling heart rhythm problems..... They save MANY MANY lives every year....

  • Magnesium is used to treat some forms of arrhythmia.

You might look for a doctor who is experienced in using magnesium for this purpose.

Giving magnesium addresses the underlying cause of some forms of arrhythmias, whereas beta blockers do not. Beta blockers simply mask the symptoms.

  • @TheVamp1res Yes exercise, good diet and as simple as it may seem getting to bed at a decent time will do wonders :) when u feel depressed and in my case extremely aggitated about the smalliest of things, remember something will come around in your life and u will feel happy and feel great about life. It's the parts inbetween that we have to dust ourselves off from and keep moving forward, hope u have great life :) lewis

  • @TheVamp1res Just what I want to hear;) honestly stay away from meds and u will definately be better off, DON'T learn the hard why like me. Sometimes u may feel like 'fuck it, anything is better than this, I wanna try this medication' honestly u will feel a whole new low when u take anti-depressants or any meds, ur problems at the moment will seem meaning less after ur emotions have been numbed out!

  • @hardcorebiker15 Thanks dude for response & i agree with what you say, im always nervous to take meds & now i decided not to bother, im also not in the best mindset to be taking meds if it makes u even more depressed / suicidal, i feel pretty fragile as it is & dont want to chance taking meds messing with my emotions, i am going to stick with the natural remedy of good clean diet & plenty of exercise & see how i feel in another 6mths.., keep maintaining bro hope everything works out for u :-)

  • @TheVamp1res Please from my experience don't take anit-depressants, sedatives, any medication. They only make it worse, please pm if u need any more information on anything to do with anxiety/depression/medication

  • @TheVamp1res I didn't get really depressed but NEVER felt happy, even when I wanted to cry I was not able to cause of the anti-depressants, which inturn stopped me from releasing the tension that built up inside of me which in turn caused me to cut my wrists to provide relief, I was also really considering suicide, decided to come the meds and felt better(ironic

  • @TheVamp1res Yes, i took the propranalol for three months, it don't do anything for me:( take my advice it's a waste of time. Then I got really depressed (side effect of anxiety), got prescribed anti-depressants took them for a while and after a month or so they came into full effect, basically numbed my emotions.

  • @hardcorebiker15 Hi ive also just been prescribed with proponolol for my anxiety too i have generalised anxiety & mild social anxiety but after seeing this vid clip ive gone off the idea of starting to take them lol, as i also tend to get depressed from the anxiety so unsure if i should take proponolol please tell me how you are getting on & if u decided to use the medication etc.. id really appreciate your response :-)
