Icarus 1 distress beacon (edited for perfection).

Since the distress signal from the Icarus 1 is the most amazing piece of audio ever created, i found it necessary to make it for pure listening as well. Using a certain audio editing program, a little mixing and trixing, i made the sound standing alone, without other sounds from the movie and such. As i didn't find any versions as good as i wanted, i did a "if you want something done, do it yourself".

If anyone wants it, let me know and i can send it via e-mail or msn or whatever. Perfect for the cell-phone as a ringtone perhaps?

Danny Boyle had to do with both The Thing (the most recent movie) and Sunshine, the signal is in both movies, so he probably had something to do with it.

In any case Sunshine was made in 2007.

Sendspace only offers the iLividsetup.exe file. The other links offer .dmg files. Where is the mp3?!? Sooo glad I use a linux OS. Windows is susceptible to ALL the malaware out there. DONT USE SENDSPACE to download if you are on a Windows PC!
