A exciting yet disappointing result for George Hincapie at the 2001 Paris Roubaix. He could have won it for sure had his team been able to be up front supporting him.

  • Big George deserves a Roubaix win. Maybe this year, or not?

  • I sure hope he wins it before he retires.

  • what name of this sound?

  • Saw this 2001 race in person. If you love cycling, it is a must trip. Rent a car, get the huge Michelin road atlas and have a plan: you can leapfrog the race and end up seeing it 5-6 times on the day. Wear trail runners because you have to pretty much run from where you're able to park to the viewing spot, then run back to the car after the race has passed through. Repeat until the race is 20k out from Roubaix then duck into some pub, order a beer and watch the finish on TV!

  • raining pari roubaix is hell..

  • This edition of Paris-Roubaix was so epic. Hincapie vs The Lion of Flanders vs The World Champion. Wilfred Peters rode like a demon and Tchmil managed to finish in the top ten after coming to grief early in the race.

  • Who is the driver in the postal car? Where is this video from?

  • I love this vid. It shows perfectly how crazy a race can be! And thumbs up for the driver at 5:05 lol

  • Domo rode this race to tactical perfection.

  • @ironmanc5

I think he said: "hij he godverdomme plat ze moet'n muh deur loat'n" ,

which would translate in english as: "God damn it he's got a flat they have to let me through"

  • I don't think I could handle being a race director/sportif in the car...you have to have nerves of steel and ice water in your veins to deal with all that craziness and assure your riders they are fine when their lifelong dream is going to pieces.

    Cool video, thanks for uploading.
