This was his guitar. I was his guitar tech for the first Saturday Night Live show. That night he used his frankenstrat and a 50 watt marshall plexi with a 1960A 4x12. Awsome show.

I got this one at a guitar show in NewJersey in the 1990's. It was white so I added the blue on top of that. Then I reliced it. These guitars Totaly beat the Fenders. The frets wear like iron.

If it IS mahogany....then you don't have a Fernandes. It's a great guitar, I'm sure, but it's not an authorized Fernandes.

When the Japanese economy started going south at the end of the 80s a lot of the guitar makers ("Gakki") - including the makers that Fernandes contracted - started making unauthorized units to keep themselves in business.

it's a replica... with perfectly good wood. I am the proud owner of this guitar =) Made it's way from jersey, to maine(i believe), to brooklyn, and I brought it back to new jersey. Saw this video on craigslist and had to have it. Zero fret wear, no lie. The decal, matching headstock, and relic are all perfect. Excellent choice of matching color with the mint green pickgaurd. It has that strat sound when you scrape your chords, but i might change pickups.

billie jo e armstrong of green day has the same exact model put a bill lawerence pickup and it sounds greeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaa­aaat it gives such a bright rock sound oh except his is a maple neck
