  • @scottolo E' nato semi-automatico, ascensori onesti che davano pochi problemi.

    Adesso macchina e quadro sono stati sostituiti.

    relay 1 - up select

    relay 2 - down select

    relay 3 - motor run (start)

    Is this right?

    Also, how does the control gear know where the lift is in the shaft? Some lifts have a floor selector in the machine room, but in this lift?

    I enjoy watching your videos, great to see the car, the route up to the machine room, the machine and control gear.

    The big relay n 3 in Italy is called "pilot", for security it start in every run of elevator. It control the motor with up and down relays because can be dangerous control the motor with only 1 relay.

    Many old elevators haven't a selector, every floor they have a contact in shaft that give the elevator position at the controller.

  • @ascensoribrianza si si conosco...sono rocce...ne ho anche io in manutenzione...ma tutti manuali...unico problema...i contatti porte cabina difficili da raggiungere xchè sono sotto la cabina e con il riparo lungo (grembiule) ancora peggio

  • @ascensoribrianza Older lifts would also have a tape that runs up and down similar to the govenor with holes and or magnets in the desired landings :)

  • This motor is AC, I thought it might be DC with a motor-generator (MG) with

    Start Run relays in the control panel. However, DC motors generally have exposed

    commutators with the motor brushes. And I did not hear a motor-generator running in the background. From what I have observed, MG sets are in the machine room or close by.
