beautiful, thank you for sharing that wonderful quote from JL@Xmenfan246

If you started playing drums in post WWII England on a used broken Red Cross drum set (with a garbage can lid for a cymbal), and are able to get all the way to fame with your best friends, that has to count for something.

Ringo is a human metronome. Great drummer. Just check out comments by Phil Collins (bit of a git but a great drummer himself!).

I think Ringo's a great drummer, especially since he' left handed playing a right handed set. He deserves this star, :-)

I was at the walk of fame that night when Ringo got his star. I got to see him there. He actually pointed to me when he saw me wave to him during the mayor's speech. I'm glad i got to see Ringo live. He is my childhood hero, he still is today.
Peace & love Ringo. (:
George Harrison (in 1974): "Ringo's got the best back beat I've ever heard and he can play great 24-hours a day."
"Playing without Ringo is like driving a car on three wheels. - George Harrison

"Ringo is a damn good drummer. He is not technically good, but I think Ringo's drumming is underrated the same way Paul's bass playing is underrated. I think Paul and Ringo stand up with any of the rock musicians. Not technically great -- none of us are technical musicians. None of us could read music. None of us can write it. But as pure musicians, as inspired humans to make the noise, they are as good as anybody."-John Lennon, Playboy 1980
