CMU professor Randy Pausch was battling pancreatic cancer. His dream was to practice with the Pitsburgh Steelers. He goes out for a pass with Hines Ward, meets the Rooneys and tours the Super Bowl trophy room with Diane Sawyer.

  • Watched this on TV. He was so cool. Just wish he was here to see us win the Super Bowl. Well, now that i think about it, he did see it-from the greatest seat in the house. And I bet him and Myron Cope cheered so loud that everyone in Hell heard them.

  • Because this "bad stuff" happened to this great man the entire world got to know and learn who he was. I for one am grateful that during a time when the rest of us would go into a shell and be angry he decided to do what he does best and taught us all a lesson.

  • What a courageous young man. I watched a video of his last lecture and it was very touching and very inspirational at the same time. It's definitely worth seeing.

  • So he really did make it to the NFL XD

  • this man was a fucking legend

  • Watching this makes me think two things:

What an amazing guy Randy was, and what a douchebag Ben Roethisberger is... if the NFL doesn't, he should be suspended by the team

  • Wow, good stuff. I recently saw his 'last lecture' and it was incredible. Used to live in the 'Burgh and rode past this field on my bike too! Ha ha

The Steelers are a class act organization, definitely. glad Randy was able to do this and a Heinz Ward jersey/meet, to boot?!?! Killer. Way to go Randy. We all miss ya

  • my grandfather teaches at cmu.... i wonder if he knew randy?

  • Randy Pausch is a god damn hero for all of us.........if you cant learn something from his life and message of hope and love, then you dont deserve to live.
