  • Great memories of fry-up breakfasts at my Grannie's house on the Scottish borders in the 1970s. Bacon, egg, sausages, liver, black pudding. A giant garden with a fish pond and vegetable patch, and a washing machine that had to be stirred by hand with a paddle.

  • lol i remember them washing machines, if you was posh you had a twin tub;-)

  • Ever had it fried? Utterly disgusting it may be, but rather tasty.

  • fried or grilled, i take it whatever way it comes, disgusting & tasty your right there;-)

  • I had a slice once. It was during the "mad cow" scare.

  • only the once?;-)

  • in newfounland canada, we make it in cakes, but the recipe is much alike,, we use cloves, cinnamon,, allspice etc. otherwise much the same.

  • well yes and no, it has all kinds in it but the main part is made from blood that has been stirred in a big vat until it thickens, it sounds much worse than it tastes;-)

  • is it some kind of meat? heh
