The X Factor is getting bigger. Audience figures are swelling, column inches are multiplying, and the appetite for online content remains insatiable. Like a cultural juggernaught steam-rolling the nation, The X Factor is making its way into conversations in every village, town and city in Britain and beyond.
Heightened interest equals heightened expectations, and to stand a chance of winning the show, the acts need to have an array of different attributes in their arsenal.
