So, in America which claims to be open to all religions, you would have "I am the Lord your God you shall have no other gods before me." to every Hindu, Buddhist, Moslem, Agnostic, Athiest, etc. Is the status of the church more important to you than the hypocrisy of the government?

The Ten Commandments were a revolutionary ideal over 4000-5000 years ago if you consider other nine. Plus they have no listed punishment as well. Never really thought of that until someone pointed it out. I have no problem with other's religions(even if they are false), but our government was heavily influenced by Christianity.

If you were able to ask James Madison, author of the U.S. Constitution he would have told you they were still relevant 232 years ago when he wrote " We have staked the whole future of America, not upon government but self-gervernment - for each individual to govern one's self according to the Ten Commandments of God." With out a common moral foundation we will cease to be a Civil Society.
